The association defines technical standards, fosters cross-company collaboration throughout the value chain, and supports its members through knowledge sharing and networking. Organized into the Executive Board, Operational Office, Advisory Board, and specialized working groups, Catena-X ensures efficient and interoperable cooperation across the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities of the association

The Catena-X association coordinates the development of a standardized, open data ecosystem. Its members work in expert groups to define technical standards and certification frameworks. Core tasks also include:

  • Managing strategic partnerships
  • Providing training and information resources
  • Overseeing release and version management
  • Selecting and commissioning operating companies, clearing houses, and conformity assessment bodies
  • Supporting international networking and collaboration with industry associations

How the association is structured?

Executive Board

The Board consists of twelve members representing different sectors of the automotive industry. They are responsible for the strategic direction and governance of the association.
