What is the purpose of the Sustainability Committee?
The sustainability landscape is challenged by complex regulations, fragmented data, and inconsistent reporting processes, which hinder transparency and collaboration. The Sustainability Committee ensures alignment of sustainability solutions with Catena-X’s overall goals.
What are the goals of the Sustainability Committee?
- Define the vision, roadmap, and standards for sustainability within Catena-X
- Review, validate, and approve sustainability-related deliverables (e.g. standards, guidelines, communications)
- Provide strategic guidance to expert groups in the sustainability domain
- Coordinate and align with external initiatives (e.g. VDA, RBA, ACEA, CLEPA, WWF, GBA)
- Promote transparency through regular community updates, Q&A sessions, and communication across member organizations
Why should you participate?
- Shape sustainability standards that define how data is shared, validated, and applied across the value chain
- Influence industry-wide frameworks and ensure your organization’s needs are represented
- Gain early access to sustainability insights and decisions within Catena-X
- Collaborate with leading experts and organizations to foster innovation and impact
- Strengthen your organization’s role in shaping the future of sustainable automotive practices
Who should apply?
We are seeking experienced professionals who are Catena-X Association member with:
- Expertise in sustainability topics such as PCF, Circular Economy, DPP, supply chain due diligence, or regulatory compliance
- Strategic and collaborative mindset, with the ability to guide expert groups and align stakeholders
- Availability of at least 6–8 hours per week
