Who Should Apply / Selection Framework

Participating in the Catena-X DPP Regulations Expert Group enables companies to proactively address the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape for Digital Product Passports (DPP). By gaining early visibility into national, European, and global DPP regulations, participants can reduce regulatory uncertainty and compliance risks while supporting innovation across the automotive value chain. Structured monitoring and analysis of regulatory developments help organizations translate complex requirements into actionable insights for Catena-X use cases.

Transparent knowledge exchange and standardized interpretation of regulations foster trust and strengthen collaboration among OEMs, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Companies benefit from a shared, up-to-date regulatory overview within the Catena-X ecosystem, aligned with international standards and best practices. By joining the initiative, participants actively contribute to regulatory alignment, interoperability, and the sustainable transformation of the automotive industry.

Key Criteria

• Regulatory perspective: Understanding of Digital Product Passport regulations, sustainability regulations, standardization, or regulatory frameworks affecting global supply chains.
• Strategic mindset: Ability to analyze complex regulatory developments and translate them into clear, actionable guidance.
• Active contribution: Hands-on engagement in regulatory monitoring, development of updates, and contribution to group deliverables.
• Collaborative mindset: Willingness to work collaboratively with other Expert Group members, facilitate discussions, and drive outputs.
• International experience: Experience with non-EU regulatory ecosystems (e.g. Asia, North America) is a plus.

Commitment

• Regular and active participation in weekly Expert Group meetings
• Continuous contribution to group activities and regulatory updates
