We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the new Expert Group “Digital Product Passport”. Applications are accepted until February 20th.

What is the purpose of the DPP Expert Group?

The DPP Expert Group addresses the challenge of integrating Digital Product Passport (DPP) data across the automotive supply chain, driven by evolving regulations such as ESPR, ELVR, and the Battery Regulation. The group focuses on developing standards, data models, and processes for effective, scalable supply-chain integration of DPPs within Catena-X.

What are the goals of the DPP Expert Group?

  • Define data models and content structures for DPP-relevant information exchange along the supply chain
  • Create user-driven standards for upstream DPP data exchange
  • Update and extend the EcoPass KIT and related documentation for improved adoption
  • Describe and visualize supply-chain processes for DPP data creation, exchange, and consumption
  • Ensure consistency with related initiatives and expert groups (e.g. PCF, SSI, Interoperability)
  • Support clarity and feasibility for supply-chain actors contributing data to DPPs

Why should you participate?

  • Actively shape how DPP-related data is exchanged within the supply chain, considering new regulations
  • Influence harmonized, cross-industry standards that reduce complexity and increase adoption
  • Collaborate with experienced DPP, data, and supply-chain experts in Catena-X
  • Contribute to the definition, exchange, and use of DPP data in real industrial processes

Who should apply?

We are seeking professionals with:

  • Expertise in DPP, supply chain data modeling, or regulatory compliance
  • Hands-on mentality and willingness to drive topics to results
  • Commitment to regular participation (minimum 10 hours per month, weekly meetings and offline work on deliverables)
  • Experience as DPP subject matter experts, especially with a supply chain focus

Currently, the group is looking for data modeling experts. Providers of DPP solutions are invited to apply via the SUS Solutions Interoperability Expert Group.

Further information and detailed requirements can be found in the attached DPP Expert Group profile.
