Catena-X is a community driven data ecosystem – and the committees are where this collective power truly takes shape. We are now relaunching several of our key committees to synchronize the application phase. This is your opportunity to join the highest working bodies of the association and actively shape the standards, services, and architecture of the Catena-X ecosystem.

Why Committees Matter

While the Catena-X Association provides the governance structure, the committees are the strategic and operational drivers of the ecosystem. They unite expert groups, steer technical development, and safeguard the interoperability and scalability of our framework. This is where the blueprint of Catena-X is built – collaboratively, openly, and across industries.

The following committees are now open for participation:

  • Architecture Committee
Defines the overarching architectural vision of the Catena-X data space and ensures alignment of the architecture roadmap across use cases and domains.
  • Network Services Committee
Defines and governs the roadmap and open-source development of shared services (e.g., onboarding, discovery, identity) to ensure technical interoperability and data sovereignty.
  • Industry Core Committee
Steers the business-centric definition and expansion of the Industry Core through reusable components to enhance semantic interoperability, adaptability, and adoption across the ecosystem.
  • Technical Committee for Modeling (TC4M)
Governs the modelling process and ensures harmonized semantic and data models which are aligned within Catena-X as well as other initiatives (as the IDTA or ECLASS) that serve as the backbone of all use cases and standards.
  • Technical Committee for Standardization (TC4S)
Governs the standardization process and ensures harmonized standards across the Catena-X ecosystem which aligns with the technical and operational requirements set by the Architecture Management Committee.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for experts, strategists, and architects with a desire to move things forward and a good understanding of Catena-X principles or related fields such as interoperability, digital twins, standardization, and open-source development. You should be willing to commit at least 10 hours per week, depending on the committee.

We especially encourage international applicants who want to shape global standards and new members seeking an immediate contribution to the ecosystem:

Get Involved Where It Matters Most
