Call for Applications: International IT Outfitter Board Seat

Due to the resignation of the current IT Outfitter Board Member (effective December 31, 2025), a new representative for the International IT Outfitter Board seat will be elected by the Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA) on December 5, 2025. All voting and primary contacts have been invited to the EGA on October 30, 2025.

If your organization meets the eligibility criteria below, you are invited to nominate a candidate. Applications must be submitted by November 18, 2025, 6:00 p.m. CET to info[at]catena-x.net and must include:

Open Position

  • 1x International IT Outfitter / Provider Board seat (according to clause 10 paragraph 2(d) of the Articles of Association)

The term of office for the elected board is four years.

Eligibility Criteria

For detailed provisions, please refer to the Catena-X Automotive Network e.V. Articles of Association.

  • Membership in the Association: The candidate must belong to an ordinary member company of the Catena-X Association and be a natural person.
  • IT Outfitter / Provider Qualification: The candidate’s company must act as an IT Outfitter / Provider, delivering technical solutions for overarching business functions (e.g., IT, networks, infrastructure, production/manufacturing). These solutions are used in the automotive industry but are not part of the automotive products themselves.
  • International Representation: The candidate must represent a company that meets one of the following criteria:
    • The company has its principal place of business outside Germany, or
    • The company has its principal place of business in Germany but is part of a corporate group whose parent company is headquartered outside Germany.

Recommended Candidate Profile

While all members may nominate candidates, it is strongly recommended that candidates meet the following qualifications:

  • Decision-making authority within their company (top or middle management level)
  • Sufficient budget for travel expenses (the association does not cover Board members’ travel costs)
  • Capacity to delegate employees to actively support association activities
  • Time commitment of at least 15 full working days per year
  • A strong network within the automotive industry
  • Active links to national, regional, and international automotive initiatives, associations, and, ideally, to political or research networks

Application Process

All applications must be submitted by November 18, 2025, 6:00 p.m. CET to info[at]catena-x.net. Candidates will have the opportunity to present themselves to the membership during a Townhall Meeting on November 25, 2025.

Each application must include:

  • The completed Board of Directors Candidate Form
  • A copy of a valid ID or passport, including personal address (with proof of address if not included), and place and date of birth (if not shown on the ID)

The ID copy will be used solely for registration purposes if the candidate is elected.

The election for this position will take place during the Extraordinary General Assembly on December 5, 2025.
