Two new faces to the Catena-X Management Board

As of March 15th, Dr. Karin Pennemann (Robert Bosch GmbH) took the seat of her colleague Steve Schindler-Le Huray. Within Robert Bosch GmbH, she holds the position as Vice President, being responsible for Data Spaces of the automotive segment and driving with her team the implementation of data-driven use cases across the automotive divisions. Karin has held various commercial positions to build-up software and service business with the focus to create product-market fit and gain traction in the phase of scaling. She has worked across the automotive, chemical and construction sector and studied Business and East Asian Studies in China, Ireland and Germany. Karin has been newly elected as Board Member for Mediation.

“I am exited to support Catena-X to scale successfully and bring value to all participants across the value chain. I am truly fascinated by the open and collaborative mindset of all members and looking forward to jointly tackle our upcoming challenges in the industry”, Karin says.

On March 1st, Thomas Rösch was appointed as new Board Member. He will replace Dr. Jürgen Sturm, both representing ZF Friedrichshafen AG. Thomas is Director Automotive Ecosystems / Program Manager Catena-X at ZF. During more than 40 years spent at ZF, he has held various roles in different divisions and areas (e.g. special vehicles, commercial vehicles, rail, wind power), since 2009 focusing on the development of open platforms, digital business models, vehicle data, apps and marketplaces. He has been among the pioneers who built up the Catena-X universe since the start in 2020, including the position of interim CEO at the first operating company Cofinity-X.

Thomas on Catena-X: “Working together with great partners on something new and driving the Catena-X standardization and rollout process forward despite the business and technical challenges is immensely inspiring.”

We are happily looking forward to the impact Karin and Thomas will contribute to the Board team – and gratefully say good-bye to Steve and Jürgen for their passionate work during the past years!
