Hannover, Germany, April 22, 2024 - Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) and Catena-X Automotive Network e.V. today announced the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Automotive Industry Data Sharing Interoperability Proof of Concept (PoC).
Digital Architecture Design Center of IPA and Catena-X reaffirmed the importance of sharing the fundamental values of data sharing across industry value chains while respecting boundaries and conditions specific to each region and country. Under the MOU, IPA and Catena-X agreed to cooperate and collaborate on preparation and assessment for interoperability PoC. Below are examples of the discussion topics.

- Data transfer method
- Semantics/data models
- Data access and usage policies
IPA and Catena-X will execute the initiative with the aim to achieve completion of the judgment for establishing interoperability by December 31, 2024.
