As an association, just a few weeks ago with the whitepaper “Catena-X Operating Model Release V2” we set the foundation for the operating environment of the data ecosystem.
Our goal to enable fair competition, innovation, and improved business conditions for all stakeholders within the ecosystem let them to set up a decentralized structure: Operations will be placed in the hands of many operators with various roles. We received many applications from small to large companies, from national to international companies and companies that have been created just for the purpose of operating our data space.
Today, the news of the newly created of the company Cofinity-X GmbH has been shared across the media. We welcome this company as a strong signal to industrialize our operating model and standards and create value for our data space.
This company has been founded by ten of our Catena-X member companies: BASF, BMW, Henkel, Mercedes-Benz, SAP, Schaeffler, Siemens, T-Systems, Volkswagen and ZF. Cofinity-X aims to set up an operational environment with the goal of accelerating the scaling of Catena-X use cases throughout the automotive industry.
