During our fourth delegation trip to China, Catena-X reached a significant milestone by signing its first Letter of Intent (LoI) with a Chinese stakeholder on data space interoperability.
After a year of productive exchanges with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), Catena-X's delegation was invited to CAICT's headquarters in Beijing. The visit featured an exchange meeting that marked a pivotal moment in international collaboration.
Prof. Yu Xiaohui, President of CAICT, provided an overview of their international cooperation efforts in areas such as intelligent connected vehicles, carbon footprint calculation, and data spaces. Oliver Ganser, Chairman of the Catena-X Board, shared insights into the Catena-X founding purpose, development history, environment, partners, and operational model. Both leaders expressed a willingness for closer collaboration on data space initiatives.
Following the exchange, Prof. Yu Xiaohui and Oliver Ganser signed a LoI to deepen cooperation in the topic of industrial data ecosystems on behalf of their respective organizations. This agreement outlines plans for continued collaboration in data space interoperability, application scenarios, and operational models.
The milestone underscores Catena-X's dedication to fostering international partnerships and advancing data interoperability standards globally.
