"Tractus-X" is the open source project for the Catena-X ecosystem in which the basic components are developed. Tractus-X is not only system-relevant for Catena-X, but will also serve as the basis for Manufacturing-X and other data room projects in the future. At the Second Eclipse Tractus-X Community Days, the Tractus-X developer community came together live on site to actively engage with the current status and development possibilities surrounding the open source code of Catena-X and to exchange ideas with technical experts. The participants were able to gain deep insights into IT tools, open source reference implementations and KITs in the Tractus-X project as well as into the technology of sovereign data exchange. Last but not least, participants were able to actively contribute their own ideas in practical hands-on workshops (e.g. for the use case of demand and capacity management, or DCM for short).
In addition to keynote speeches with many insights into the interrelationships of the data ecosystem, a highly interesting panel discussion with Tractus-X committers and short deep dives for a practical introduction to the workshop topics, the main focus was on workstreams and hands-on sessions in which the participants were able to get active and code on Tractus-X themselves with the support of the experts.
On the evening of the first day, the community came together at a networking party to talk shop and celebrate with delicious food and an entertaining game of "Tractus-X Jeopardy".
You can find impressions of the start of the event series in December 2023 in the form of photos, reports and documents here at ARENA2036.de and Catena-X.net.
