Mid-term for the Catena-X Consortium: all milestones reached
Status Summary from 18 Months of Project Runtime
The Catena-X consortium project has reached the halfway point of its funding period. This is reason enough for an interim review after 18 months: Have the defined milestones of the funding project been reached? The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the project sponsor VDI Technologiezentrum were supposed to answer this question. For this purpose, 300 participants from the 28 consortium partners met in Munich on March 22, 2023 and reported. The association Catena-X Automotive Network e.V., which ensures the further development and expansion of Catena-X beyond the initial funding phase, was also represented by several board members and the management.

Impressive Live Presentation: the System Works
How does a user get into the system? How do they take their first steps? How easily does he get to "his" applications in the shortest possible time? How does one system mesh with another? The developers were able to demonstrate all this live and without errors. Anyone familiar with software development knows that this is anything but a matter of course. The multi-stage data exchange in the automotive value chain was impressively demonstrated in real time using the "traceability" use case based on the example of quality data.
Kick-Off of the Second Half of the Project: Expansion and Scaling
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, represented by Mr. Ernst Stöckl-Pukall, head of the department "Digitalization, Industry 4.0" from which Catena-X is funded, was very satisfied. He particularly emphasized the great team spirit behind the lighthouse character and the outstanding results of Catena-X. He said that Catena-X had succeeded in getting the many people involved to act as a team across all partners and to work with impressive commitment to bring Catena-X to implementation – not only nationally, but also internationally. Thus, the milestone reached also marks the kick-off of the second half of the project's duration.
Public Presentation at Hannover Messe
The results of Catena-X will be presented at Hannover Messe on April 17-21, 2023. There, all visitors can get a personal overview of Catena-X and the latest developments. Take the chance to see on site what Catena-X has already delivered and can perform. At the joint booth of Plattform Industrie 4.0 in Hall 8, Catena-X will present several different use cases at once. In addition, many experts from Catena-X will be present to answer questions.
