Catena-X announced the go-live of the CX-Jupiter Release, a significant update that improves usability and enables further internationalization of the Catena-X ecosystem, driving adoption and reducing complexity across the board.

The CX-Jupiter Release is all about simplifying the way companies can participate in the Catena-X ecosystem. With new standards and updated frameworks, companies can now share data, meet regulatory needs, and navigate the ecosystem more easily. The release also reduces complexity by streamlining the certification process, making it simpler to stay compliant and meet industry requirements.

Easier Onboarding and Enhanced Flexibility
The updated Operating Model improves the onboarding process and capabilities to cater a range of business needs:

  • The onboarding service provider role has been reworked to help companies find guidance tailored to their specific requirements faster.
  • Sandboxes offer a safe environment for companies to test and explore new features without disrupting their existing operations.
  • A more stable and reliable operating model ensures consistency for all users.

Supporting Global Standards and Collaboration
CX-Jupiter helps to expand Catena-X’s international footprint, opening doors to more regions and industries:

  • The Regulatory Framework now includes standardized policies that make global compliance simpler.
  • New frameworks for areas like Circular Economy help businesses address emerging global demands, creating new opportunities for collaboration and value creation.

Improved Usability within Eclipse Tractus-X
Tractus-X, the technical open-source community enabling Catena-X, has been enhanced based on user feedback, making the reference implementations more accessible and effective:

  • The launch of the Industry Core KIT and the overall improvements of the KIT structure to be more welcoming to newcomers and experienced users.
  • Enhanced security features ensure data sovereignty, a priority for many companies of the Catena-X ecosystem.

"The CX-Jupiter Release marks a significant step forward for Catena-X, facilitating adoption and enhancing the benefits for all ecosystem users," said Hanno Focken, Managing Director at Catena-X. "With improved usability, streamlined onboarding, and a stronger global reach, this release reflects our commitment to making Catena-X more accessible and adaptable to companies around the world.
