As part of our Ordinary General Assembly on May 6th, 2025, a partial re-election of the Board of Directors will take place. We warmly invite our members to take an active role in shaping the future of our association and driving its strategic direction forward.

 

Open Board Positions

The open positions represent different segments of our industry, ensuring a balanced and diverse Board. Four Board seats are open for election, each representing a specific membership category:

Candidate Eligibility

To ensure effective representation, Board members must be affiliated with an ordinary member organization, except for the independent seat. Eligible candidates must either be employed by or affiliated with a member company as defined in §§ 15 et seq. AktG. For further details, we recommend reviewing the Articles of Association.

 

Expectations & Requirements

Joining the Board is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our industry. To ensure effective leadership, we are looking for candidates who bring:

  • Decision-Making Authority: Ability to make strategic decisions within the company.
  • Commitment: Willingness to dedicate at least 15 full workdays per year.
  • Budget: Sufficient budget for travel expenses, as the association does not cover Board members' travel costs to Board Workshops, etc.
  • Resources: The ability to involve employees in the association's activities to actively contribute to its objectives.
  • Network: A strong network within the automotive industry and direct connections to regional, national, or international automotive initiatives. 

Application Process

To ensure a structured and transparent selection process, candidates will have the opportunity to present themselves during a Townhall Meeting on April 24 - the invitation will follow soon.

Applications should be submitted by April 10th, 3:00 PM CEST and include:

  • Copy of a valid ID or passport (only for registration purposes if elected) 

The Board election will take place on May 6th, 2025, during the General Assembly. All voting representatives should have received the blocker for this meeting.
